I stumbled across good old Sydney Morning Herald's photos (below) which show a recent show for the Fashion Design Week in Budapest where all the garments are recycled from all sorts of items such as plastic bags, tubing, wires, chains, curtains and other cut off fabrics!
Not only are these items unique, they are truly beautiful!
My favourite one is the pink dress which just looks divine and also the strapless metallic dress; both are just so fantastic and I credit the designers who created them!
These guys are truly inspirational and are great role models are other designers out there who wish to tackle the issue of Global warming and essentially play a part in saving the world and existence itself! (Whoa that was deep I know but I'm correct in saying that.)
Alternatively if your not keen or brave enough to start grabbing junk and turning it into beautiful creations like below, you could buy vintage clothing, donate any garments that you can't or don't wear anymore to charities, make your own clothing or in the very extreme don't buy any more articles of clothing ever again!
I'm not saying you should never buy any clothing ever again, but just be aware of what can be done and if your gutsy enough pitch in because every act makes a difference to the health of the Earth and for the future of humanity.
**Note for those who have no idea what i mean by Fast Fashion, look into my past posts where I've discussed the definite cons of being a fast fashion shopper (where you buy cheap items which are in style one minute and out the next and wear it once maybe twice and then dispose of it)

much love,
fashionista x
